#97 My Friend

I wrote this about my best friend. Who is one of the most important people in my life. Although I have only known this person for a year and a half, I feel like I have known my friend forever. I love my best friend for inside and out, for our friendship, and everything this person has done, and maybe even more, only time will tell.

My Friend

I feel like I've known you forever
Although I only met you sometime this past year
But our friendship will remain forever
No matter what shall cross our paths and hearts

The best thing that's happened to me
Is finding a forever friend like you
You're there to listen, help, and talk to
And best of all, I know I can confide in you

Some say the best love is one sprung from friendship
So I feel this is why we should try
Time leads us in this direction
Should we follow on down the line?

Friendship and love are always intertwined
Too close which sometimes causes confusion
But if we don't try, we will never know if it was meant to be
But forever you will remain my friend

I don't know if this is going to work
I'm not totally sure we should try
But I have all these mixed feelings
Bottled up inside

I love you both inside and out as my best friend
And I know that you love me that way too
So when I say "best friends forever"
That even means when I'm saying" Goodbye, I love you, too."

I REALLY LIKED THAT POEM. IT REALLY GOT ME CUS IM IN THE SAME EXACT POSITION. I HAVE THIS FRIENDS AND I LOVE HIM A LOT BUT IM NOT SURE IF I SHOULD GIVE IT A SHOT OR IF WE SHOULD JUST STAY FRIENDS. That is sooo xactly what I feel like! wow! I have this friend who has to move a long way away to get away from his step-dad. I just moved here from a long ways away last year around this time, so I haven't known him for very long either. We just started being friends like 2-3 months ago. I didn't think of how good of friend he was 'till this past week when he told me he was moving. He started off the friendship wanting to go out w/ me but for 2 reasons I said no. My mom won't allow me to date until im 16 and i didnt hardly know him then. He offered to wait till im 16 to go out w/me, though now i know he knew he was moving by then. He just hadn't told me yet. I'm concidering going out with him when he graduates and moves back. Im 13 and he's 15(8th grade and freshmen), because Ill be around 16 by then, but as you said, only time will tell.
