THIS POEM IS THE BEST POEM IN THE WORLD AND SHOULD BE PUBLISHED! I like to write silly poems, but love to read poems with meaning. And let me tell you, with the poetry assignment we got a while ago, I've been reading ALOT of poems with meaning. And so far, Nothing Girl is the BEST! I am like the author, not too long ago, I realized that being different is the best thing in the world and I love it! your poem and its real and i just want to say that its all good i am 17 about to be 18 and i am in a foster home because its a judacatied placement meaning i went to jail and they decided i need some kind of help so i got sent there and thats were i have been sence 16 and now i am about to be 18 and my mom does drugs and she is not really around but i love her and all my life i thought it was what i wanted to do with who ever and what ever but anyways i was what they called a drug adict and very depressed well i wanted to change my life and move on well time went by and i did well now i go to school after i droped out cause i thought it wasnt for me but now i know that is well i am a freshman and almost 18 like i said anyways i think nowq for get what every one else wants its all about me and if you could look at me now i am a childrens pastor and i am making 'as and b's in school and i love it well sorry g2g Write back ror whatever peace out Love always baby girl and keep yo head up aight

I love this poem. I mean, just because you are differant doesn't mean anything at all. If someone says something bad about you behind you back (backstabbing) then I mean you shouldn't just stand there. do something! Even worse. what if it was a friend or something. I really enjoyed this poem because it's so true. For those of us who dare to be different, it's hard - but so rewarding when we can be free from the ties that hold everyone else together, like robots. I love the freedom to be creative in what I wear and hopefully representing the creative God we have. Some people are so shallow these days. They don't even bother to look deeper. I really enjoyed reading this. My best friend is handicapped and you wouldn't believe how many times a day I hear something bad come out of someone's mouth about these type of people. They may look different on the outside, but they have big hearts and all they want is a friend. It breaks my heart to hear what people have to say about them. It matters not what you look like. i found this poem second semester last year when we were required to do a HUGE indepth self image/ self refection project for our life Transistions 30 class. The minute I read this i knew it was exactly talking to me. This poem TRUELY touched me. I have always told myself that I don't care what people think of me, and that labels don't matter to me, but deep down inside, I've always known that wasn't ture. I've always cared about what people thought, because I was afraid that people wouldn't understand, and that no one would like me. But your peom has shown me that being different isn't so scary, and I don't have to dye my hair funny colors, or wear all black etc. to get poeple to notice me. Because of you, I've finally, truely noticed, that I'm special, and I'm unique, and I don't have to do stupid things to my apperiance that I don't like just to be different or "cool". hey just want to tell you your poem was really well writen. It brought back some memories from when I was in elementary and middle school. Everyone made fun of me and beat me up because I thought different from them. I used to go home crying every day untill that one day I just stood up to them. This poem describes how i feel at times. I am who i am. And if people can't accept that, that's their problem. I have always wondered if i was alone on that. Maybe i was they only one who thought that different wasnt so different. but it really is. people are becoming robots. With the same personality as everyone else.
