#17 Always

This poem was a Christmas gift for one of my students. He's going through some rather difficult times and I wanted to let him know that he would never have to go through them alone.

Always

When you need a shoulder to cry on,
Remember that I have a warm embrace,
Ready to offer comfort.

When you think I'm being too tough,
Remember that which does not kill you
Makes you stronger.

When you need a friend to listen,
Remember that I am here for you,
Always.

When you doubt me,
Remember that I once knelt at your feet,
Washing them in service to you.

When you lose faith in yourself,
Remember that I never did,
Nor ever will.

this poem is GREAT! because it reminds me of all of my friends who always cry because they don`t have anyone to talk to or love because their family left them when they were 5,6,7,years old so i hope that you keep writting poems like this.

This is a wonderful poem. You can writer extremely well. And many of us know, this is also partly religious. I'm not that religion, well I am, but I wish to be another. Anyways, I just wanted to say it is truely great. You should continue writing, only because you do it so well. You are deffinetly talented, and gifted. I'm not so much a poem writer, but I do it all the time. I have many secret ones, but the world doesn't need to know about those.
