#56 Best Friend

This poem was written for my best friend Jessica. We are both seniors in high school and we have been friends since the third grade. She has helped through so much and I love her dearly for everything.

Best Friend

We have been friends for so long
We have grown closer with every passing year
I have grown to love you more every day
If it wasn't for you I would be lost right now
Sure we may argue sometimes
But it helps us grow closer
You have been a really true friend to me

I thank God for you everyday
Nine years ago this friendship started
It has truly grown into something wonderful

I wish I could truly thank you for all that you have helped me with
And all the hard times you have helped me get through
But words just are not strong enough
I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here
Thank you so much
I love you dearly

This poem is just what i needed. My best friend got a little upset with me (we live about 1 hour and 45 minutes away from eachother) i have missed both of her little ones birthdays and i felt really bad. I only missed them because of of my busy everyday life, i sent this poem to her and she forgave me and she framed it. I made her cry, but i'm glad it made her feel special.
