#40 Forever Far

Leaving my best friend for another country I found that this was what I felt when I began to miss her; knowing that I only get to spend a couple of days a year with her.

Forever Far

You're always in my heart,
Always on my mind,
No matter how deep the water,
You, I always find.
My memories are darkening,
You're getting more unclear,
I've fallen into a tunnel,
But I am not to fear.
Very soon we'll be as one,
Together as we once had been,
Filling our memory boxes,
For another year of being unseen.

This is the BEST poem I have ever read. I have a friend that is gone. She came to this school last year and moved. Ounce she came in the class room we both smiled at each other and were friends ever since. We still call each other, now and then,but all she talks about are her friends at her new school. It really upsets me and now I kind of feel better cause i know that I'm not the only one feeling that way.

hi kerry hay I loved your poem so much it made me cry. I am almost 17 this year, and wehave moved to hervey bay in QLD not that long ago and I came from a small town called Bathurst, and I had the bestest friend in the world she meant everything to me, and then we left and I didn't get a very good, goodbye, cause we were so busy paking, and yeah it was just a great poem thank you so much.

I have looking for this poem for a very long time. I scares me to think that a day will come that I may never see my friends again. Now that I'm in ninth grade that nightmare seems to be getting closer all the time. This poem gives me me hope that no matter how far apart we become we will always have a chance to see them again and that we will never forget each other.
