#10 Me and You

This poem is for my best friend whom I love very dearly and one day I hope that he will love me the way I love him. He is my the friend that I cherish the most, and he deserves the best in he world. Everyone has a friend like that and I hope this helps them understand what they may be going through and that it will be ok.

Me and You

When I first talked to you
I felt like I had known you forever,
telling you my problems
and what I didn't want ever.

You listened to me
I bet you thought I'd never end,
who would have thought
we would be the best of friends.

Over a period of time,
I got to know the real you.
A guy so charming and gentle,
with a heart so true.

You've survived your life
with me by your side.
I told you I'd never leave
because of the feelings I have inside.

There was a time
I wanted to explore,
what would have happened
if I would only open the door.

I know you
like no one I have ever known,
and sometimes I wonder
what do I do when we're alone?

So I have decided
time answers all.
If it is meant to be
time will remove the wall.

Standing between us,
holding us back,
allowing us to feel
It's the relationship that we lack.

I love the way we are together,
you can always make me smile.
Will it ever really be forever?
I guess I will have to wait awhile.

Time will reveal, what lies ahead
but always remember
what I have said.
Meeting you has changed my life
and I really love you so,
the feelings I feel for you
I am never letting go.
Remember me always
and I will too.

I will always think of
me and you.

Wow that poem was beautiful. in the beginning of my friendship with my guy bestfriend it was the same exact way but i never told him the truth of what i really felt for him. now that high school came around we hardly even talk which hurt me the most because it made me realize of all the time we spent together has all gone to waste. but it was his decision to leave me alone just because he was making new friends

This poem is really good. It brought me to tears by the time I was done reading it. This is so true for me because just this evening I told my best guy friend that I loved him. He only loves me as a friend right now because he is in love with his current girlfriend. I was looking for a poem to just tell him again that I am behind him no matter what and I wish him luck with his girlfriend. That if me and him were ment to be then time will make him fall in love with me like I am in love with him. Keep on writing good poems like this.
