Harsh words & violent blows
Hidden secrets nobody knows
Eyes are open, hands are fisted
Deep inside I'm warped & twisted
So many tricks & so many lies
Too many whens & too many whys
Nobody's special, nobody's gifted
I'm just me, warped & twisted
Sleeping awake & choking on a dream
Listening loudly to a silent scream
Call my mind, the number's unlisted
Lost in someone so warped & twisted
On my knees, alive but dead
Look at the invisible blood I've bled
I'm not gone, my mind has drifted
Don't expect much, I'm warped & twisted
Burnt out, wasted, empty, & hollow
Today's just yesterday's tomorrow
The sun died out, the ashes sifted

appreciate this one cuz i,ve been in this dark world for so long,and recently for the past 4 years been finding methods of healing and positive inspiration and strife to move forward towards the light. i hope by these words of expression you too have found and recognized the healing power behind this method,writing down your feelings and these abstract places you have been in your life is really a big step towards the light, keep it up because i and so many others like us really look for this kind of support, knowing that we are not alone really builds positive globalization bringing us together as one. exposing us like the plague, another disease that really needs the attention for finding a cure!

WOW! this is awesome. i have been through so much in my life. i've been an alcoholic, addicted to cocain and nearly commited suicide twice. i so lost and feel so alone in this harsh and cruel world. but i noticed after reading this poem that it's not like that at all. dealing with your familys' expectations, peer pressure, friends etc. it is so hard now-a-days especially as teenagers. if i could tell kids who have been through as much as me all i could say is BE STRONG and no matter wht NEVER GIVE UP life is too valuable and God loves you too much. i haven't seen my family for three years and my dad walked out on me when i was just 3 months old. i know i'm not the only person who cries their self to sleep at night. but i do know that i am going to do all that i can to make a statement in this world! So until then BE SRONG!

I just wanted to say how much I liked this. I was actually looking around trying to help someone I know, well, someone I THOUGHT I knew, that had talent of her own. But to my surprise, in looking for someone or somewhere to help me get her going in getting a few of her own poems out there. I found "her" poem. "Warped and Twisted". She told me she had written it in just a few minutes, just the other night. WOW -I loved it so much that I went on a quest to find out how to get "her" work out. You can imagine how disapointed and sad I was, to find out that she stole this poem. I wonder now, how many more, if any of "her writings" are REALLY "her writings". But, I am working to try to make sure she doesn't do this anymore. At least I can try.

Many times i have felt that way, as an acomplish poet (8 times) i have learned to hide it all. most of the tiime i get rid of it in writing what i feel. I see psychologist because i wrote such dark poems, but i learned to overcome it. when i read this it reminded me of a lighter version of what i used to write. keep up the good work and don't be afraid of speaking your mind.

i really, really liked this poem. i think the author has a clever sense of writing. i like the way skittles puts in paradoxes (ex: loud silence); it addes very much to the poem it think. i can also relate to the poem in so many ways. my parents recently got separated and i was forced to leave school early without having a chance to tell my friends, my teachers, my pastor and people at church, or even my dad goodbye. i can really feel the pain that this person is feeling, if this is inspired by a real feeling you have or have had. if not, then you do a really good job writing about things. thank you for writing this poem. although i always think it's stupid when people say thank you for writing this or something like that, i understand that now. because it gives me somewhat a feeling of comfort knowing that other people have the same feelings that i have. so anyway, i do think you are a great writer
