This is a poem I wrote about my friend who is moving away. Even though she is just moving a couple miles away and changing schools, she might as well move across the globe. This poem can also be sung as a song to the tune of Spice Girls' "Mama".

You use to be a girl in my class,
you never meant that much to me,
You sat beside me while we learned our ABC's.
But slowly we became best friends,
our friendship made me glad,
I never thought you would
become the friend I never had.

Back then, we thought you would stay,
forever you'd be here always.
But now there isn't much time,
It's time to say goodbye.

we went through the good and bad.
When I needed someone,

I've had a lot to think about,

    This poem is the best, i loved it. My friend she is going back to a different country. We are talking thousands and thousands of miles away from wher I live. I was born in the Philippines and she was all sow born ther to. She is going back to the Philippines and i dont even know when she is comeing back. We now each other since we wher in CG. We are both in hight school. Im going to miss here, my best friend. I got to give this to her be for she leaves. Thank you Jessee for righting this great poem.

    such a gr8 poem dat means a lot 2 me coz i moved away last year and me and my best frend had a huge fight and didnt talk 4 2 months and now were talkin again but we left it 2 long so i dont think it will be the same again. if only i or my friend saw this i think we would still be best friends.

    i noe how it feels to have a frnd move away from u. rite now im 16 and i became frnds wit a kid in the 4th grade. about 2 years ago he moved to pennsylvania and we didn't talk as much. he use to live rite up the block from me now he lives 2 states away.
