  My mother is a cold and hard woman. I have hated her all my life because of her coldness. However, after reading this poem, I started to ponder, what if. Amidst my tears, I think I may have made a mistake all my life. Please continue to write.

  I wasn't sure whether to read it or not do to the title but that's what caught my attention and it's very appropriate in my opinion. Something else i'd like to say is that I find it hard for me to right in rhyme, it's something that i have to strain for and it's hard for me to get the message and the feeling out when i do so but this piece has done it so eloquently that it still lets you feel and leave you in anticipation of what will happen. It makes you want more and I love that.

  The feelings expressed by the husband here is so like men in general. We have that cold, calculating logic (cold steel) that enables to function as men but so often, fails us when we enter into personal relationships. We allow our logic etc. , to define our feelings.
